"The person you are calling is no longer available"
"Don't bring up the past"
"When you bring up your past your future disappears"
These are some slug lines that my group and I have come up with. I haven't decided which one I prefer yet, but I will choose one of these.

Research and Planning: Music Ideas
The slow music at the beginning of the trailer is very eerie and effective, as it causes suspense. The change to more up beat music to show the action that is happening is something we would like to achieve within our trailer, as it would work well paired with the montage that we are planning on doing. This trailer is helpful and something we can refer back when making the non-diegetic sound for out trailer.

Research and Planning: Production and Distribution Company Logos
These are the production and distribution logos that Sam has designed and that we will be using in our trailer.
Research and Planning: Masthead Font
I have chosen this font as it is big and bold like the name suggests. It stands out and is simple so would be good for a magazine masthead.

Research and Planning: Script
This is the script that we have wrote, it may get changed or edited when it comes to actually filming the trailer, because we might find something that suits the situation better. But this is the script we have come up with.
Research and Planning: Meeting Post

Research and Planning: Costume and Props List
This costumes and props I will need for making my magazine are:
The main character will be wearing normal,
casual clothes so show that he is just a normal person.
The makeup needed for the main character will be dark makeup to make him look battered and bruised. I will also need fake blood to show that the boy has been tortured and beaten.
The props that I need are tape and rope, as I am thinking of showing the boy whilst he is being help captive and tied up.
I might also use a phone on the photo, as this is very symbolic to the title of the film. It also shows the storyline and makes it dramatic.

Research and Planning: 2nd Film Magazine Analysis

The genre of this magazine which is shown through the the masthead which reads 'Entertainment Weekly' as it is a film magazine. The genre of this film is horror which can be seen by the facial expression of the subject on the magazine. It is also a musical which are stereotypically upbeat which is why it doesn't look too sinister, although it does achieve the creepy effect.
The three colour rule is used well as it uses only blue white and red for the text. The picture is in black and white so doesn't ruin the other colours, and also goes along with the horror theme of the film.
You can tell that Johnny Depp plays the main character in this film as the medium close up of him takes up the whole page. The expression on the main characters face represents him as strong and powerful, and he also sees to be looking down at the reader, which again shows him as powerful.
The target audience for this magazine would be people in the 20 and above, and watch films as a hobby and interest, but the other area of target audience would probably be students aged 16 and above who are studying Media of Film related subjects.
The large cover line reading "Starring Johnny Depp" shows the film that the magazine is promoting to go with the photo gives extra information about the film, to make the reader more interested. There isn't many more cover lines on this magazine as it is quite simple and effective, and shows that the main story of this weeks edition is based around Johnny Depp and his film 'Sweeney Todd'. The only other cover lines that read "Holiday Movie Preview" and "The Inside Scoop On 39 New Films" shows the genre of the actual magazine makes is seem quite gossipy by using "the inside scoop", which makes it seem interesting and attractive.
This magazine doesn't have a positioning statement, which keeps the cover simple, and after looking at other editions of this magazine, you can tell it is to keep it simple ans focused on the main feature. It also doesn't have a bar code which is probably placed on the back. The issue number and date is positioned above the text in the top right corner, which keeps it out of the way of the photo and makes more room for other stories.
The lighting of the photo is quite low key as it is black and white, which shows the genre of the film as the storyline is grim and gruesome. The costume makes him look more sinister and the chains around his neck make him look violent. The pose shows his serious tone, and the evil look suggests that he may do something evil within the story of the film.
The masthead is big and bold which is typical of the magazine, as the size and font is the same on every edition of the magazine and keeps it consistent. The colour of the masthead stands out, as the name of the magazine is obviously very important.
