Me and two of my class mates were selected to make a video to promote a town. During making this video I have learnt a lot more about cinematography, editing, sound and mise-en-scene. I have learnt that sound is a big issue as unwanted background noise is picked up quite loud with the cameras that we used/will be using, so I have to make sure that the location is quiet. Within mise-en-scene, I learnt most about location. I will make sure that I look at the location very well before we start filming, as some things in the background can ruin the setting. I didn't realise that editing is more challenging than I thought, and adding sound to a video is also difficult, as we made sounds bridges and recorded sounds to add into the video. Now that I have gained this knowledge, I feel that I will be able to input more towards the trailer, and although we have our own sections, I think we can all help each other I can help to give advice.
I think this experience has really helped me and I'm glad that I have realised things and picked them up in this video, rather than within my trailer.
